Where do I register for the citizenship civics exam?

Service-Public says to register with a centre approved by CCIP, the Paris Île-de-France Chamber of Commerce, or France Éducation International (FEI). Use the official page for current centres and registration steps.

If you live abroad, Service-Public recommends contacting a French institute, Alliance Française or consular authorities in your country of residence for exam arrangements.

What Cap Nationalité does and does not do

Cap Nationalité is an independent private preparation service. It provides quizzes, an assessment and corrections to organise study.

Cap Nationalité is not an exam centre or booking service. It does not register you officially, choose your centre or collect exam registration fees.

Checklist before registration

  • Check whether your citizenship route requires the civics exam.
  • Use Service-Public to choose an approved CCIP or FEI centre.
  • Check dates, available places, fees and payment directly with the centre.
  • Keep confirmations and instructions from your centre.
  • Prepare the official format: 40 multiple-choice questions in French, up to 45 minutes and at least 32 correct answers.
  • Start studying before your booked date so you can review weaker themes.

Results and certificate: what should I check?

For citizenship or reinstatement by decree, the pass certificate is among the required application documents. Follow your centre's instructions for results and the certificate.

For questions about registration, results or documents, contact the centre and check Service-Public before submitting your application.
