  2. Find your weaker themes

Your instant result groups mistakes by theme so you can focus on what you find difficult.

  3. Choose your next practice

After the assessment, take a full 40-question mock exam or prepare your interview answers.

Official themes split into 7 study blocks.

The citizenship civics exam tests knowledge of French history, culture, society and the Republic's values. The official exam has 5 broad themes. Cap Nationalité divides them into 7 smaller study blocks.

Values cover republican principles. Institutions and Europe cover the political system. Rights and duties cover citizens' responsibilities. History, geography, culture and language form one official theme. Interview practice also covers life in French society.

Prepare for the interview with clear themes and personal answers.

Aim for clear answers about your background, reasons for applying and understanding of the Republic's values. You do not need to memorise a perfect sentence.

  • Your reasons for becoming French and your background
  • Values of the Republic, secularism, rights and duties
  • Life in France: work, family, plans and integration
